SEO Vs PPC – Which one is a better approach?

What should i use for my business? A PPC ad or Search Engine Optimization (SEO) organic traffic generating approach?

We as Digital Marketers get to hear this question very often and we turn out to answer that both these ways of generating traffic have their pros and cons and many businesses uses both these ways to generate traffic to there website’s.

But it all depends on your marketing strategy, target audience and goals for your business.

Before going in detail of which one is the best way to increase traffic we need to know that what is PPC and SEO?

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is an organic and FREE way to generate traffic for any website. It is the most easiest way to describe SEO. Whereas

Pay- Per- Click or PPC is a PAID advertisement that marketers use where the company pays per click for their Ad to be advertised online.

SEO takes time because Google keeps on changing its algorithms and SEO experts who are sitting online have to to keep themselves updated and have to use keywords and backlinks to generate traffic for their clients webistes.

As far as the PPC advertisement is concerned it is a fast way of generating traffic, but it is expensive at the same tine as well.

Beause most of the businesses who have just put step into the market cannot afford PPC Campaigns so they go for the long yet organic way thst is SEO.

The one thing that is more interesting about SEO and PPC is that, PPC advertisement runs until the company is paying for the Ad,

If the company stops paying the Ad will stop working and the marketing campaign will stop simultaneously.

But as mentioned before that SEO is the organic way , when the traffic of website is generated through selected keywords and backlinks the traffic stay even after marketers stop promoting it online.


Because they have added valuable content and have generated enough backlinks that have helped them rank on top of Google and it won’t go easily.

Whereas PPC may have a slight edge in their conversion rate. PPC’s true strengths are its speed and expensiveness.

With a PPC campaign, you can be on the first page within a day or two.

However, the terms can cost anywhere from pennies to many dollars per click also, for a PPC campaign to be done correctly, it’s usually best to hire a firm that can manage it full time.

This can mean that PPC campaigns can get very expensive, very quickly especially when done correctly.

As much as we have seen in the industry organic search delivers more volume at a better cost per lead than paid search.

For us this all comes down to the strategy you have made to digitally market your product. Whether you use PPC or SEO it won’t work until you do it correctly.

By doing it correctly i mean that you should have a proper Digital Marketing plan for it and if you are a new business trust me you desperately need to have Digital presence so that you can reach more audience globally and locally at the same time.


Again, it depends. Your long-term web marketing strategy should always include search engine optimization.

The major advantage of SEO is that statistically it brings you better quality traffic leads.

Ranking highly in Google for a keyword or phrase is a clear sign that you are a credible source and that you are an important player in your industry.

But do NOT fool yourself into thinking that SEO is free. No matter how you look at it, SEO comes at a cost.

Whether it’s your own time or hiring an outside vendor to manage your SEO strategy, SEO does come with a cost.

Because Time is money if you are doing it yourself and if you hire someone to do it for you its obvious he/she will charge you for their expertise.
